Today we enjoyed the poetry antics of Kalli Dakos. Check out some of her poems on her website, Kallidakos.com as well as in the booklet coming home this evening.

Today we also continued our discussion of the Iroquois and began a read aloud, If You Lived With the Indians of the Northwest Coast... The American Indians in this section of the U.S. had a very interesting way to light their homes. Ask your 2D Rock about it!

In math today, we used Marcy Cook tiles. 2D was up for the challenge. Marcy Cook has created hundreds of cards that use the numbers 0-9 in many different ways. They really force us to think about numbers.

Remember our sponsored family, the Pace family, has many unmet needs as of yet. We have received Hot Wheel cars, some shoes, a book, and tooth brushes. Remember the items do not have to be new, but we would like to provide this family with a nice holiday. Continue to talk about our project at home and gather items to bring in.
