Native American Day

For Native American Day in second grade, students rotated through three morning sessions. The second graders played Native American games in P.E., created messages using Native American-influenced symbols in Art, and practiced the art of storytelling in the library.

After the rotations, we went on a hike to collect supplies for dioramas on the tribes we've studied. We enjoyed a Native American feast with foods from many different areas of the United States, traditional and modern Native American dishes.
Finally, we rotated through Spanish, Computer and making dioramas in the afternoon. What a fun and busy day!
